Educational programme for schools

Lithuanian Myths & Legends: an educational theatrical programme for schools

A theatrical educational programme that turns Lithuanian mythology into a living stage experience. Pupils don't just read the legends – they see how storytelling, original music and stage atmosphere bring Lithuania's cultural heritage to life. We stage the programme in schools, and in Lithuania we are preparing to offer it through the Kultūros pasas (Culture Passport) scheme.

Lithuanian Myths & Legends is an educational programme for schools that lifts mythology off the textbook page and onto the stage. Instead of dry facts, pupils follow one continuous story: the legends of the Vilnius Basilisk, the Giants of Kupiškis and Biržai Castle come alive through live narration, original music and a full stage atmosphere. This theatrical format naturally supports lessons in Lithuanian language and literature, history and ethnic culture – folklore, legends and heritage – and helps pupils understand where the images of Lithuanian identity come from. We adapt the programme to different age groups and to the school's own space, and for schools in Lithuania we are preparing to deliver it via the state Kultūros pasas (Culture Passport).

Is this a Kultūros pasas (Culture Passport) programme?

We can deliver it as an educational school programme and are currently preparing to offer it through Lithuania's Kultūros pasas scheme. Registration is still in progress, so please ask in your enquiry and we'll advise on current status and how to book for your school.

Which ages is the programme suitable for?

We adapt it from primary classes through to upper secondary. The emphasis, language and running time are tuned to the specific age group so the mythology stays clear and engaging for the pupils.

Can you perform at our school?

Yes. The performance can be adapted to a school assembly hall, a culture centre or a school stage. Share details of the space, sound and pupil numbers, and we'll propose a suitable format.
